Please read these Policies & Procedures carefully before booking services with Pawtastic Pet Sitting LLC (“us”, “we”, or “our”).
These Policies & Procedures apply to pet care services provided by Pawtastic Pet Sitting LLC. By requesting, booking, or receiving services, you acknowledge and agree to these policies in addition to any Care & Liability Agreement or other service agreement provided to you.
All services are subject to availability. Submitting a booking request does not guarantee availability or reserve dates until the booking has been accepted and required payment has been received.
Clients are responsible for providing accurate dates, service times, pet information, and care instructions when requesting services.
Requested times for walks and drop-in visits may be scheduled within the applicable service window unless an exact time has been specifically agreed upon. Pets requiring medication, feeding, or other care at an exact time should be discussed with us before booking.
Requests to extend a reservation, add visits, change dates, or modify scheduled care are subject to availability and are not guaranteed.
Payment is required to reserve your dates unless another arrangement has been approved in advance.
Dates are not considered reserved until payment has been received. Requested dates are not guaranteed until payment is received and are reserved on a first-paid basis.
Any additional services requested after the original booking may result in additional charges.
Cancellations made at least 72 hours before the scheduled service start time may be cancelled without a cancellation fee. If payment was made, you will receive a full refund to the original form of payment.
Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the scheduled service start time are subject to a charge of 50% of the affected service.
Once the scheduled appointment or service start time has passed, the appointment is considered a no-show if the client has not cancelled. No-shows are charged 100% of the scheduled service.
If we arrive for a scheduled in-home service and are unable to access the home or pet because access was not provided, the visit may also be treated as a completed/no-show appointment and is non-refundable.
Unused services resulting from an early return, change of travel plans, or other client schedule change after care has begun are not guaranteed a refund.
Requests made less than 24 hours before the requested service are considered last-minute bookings and are subject to a $20 last-minute booking fee.
Last-minute requests are accepted only when availability permits.
A meet & greet may be required before beginning services with a new client.
Meet & greets allow us to meet your pet, review routines and care instructions, discuss home access when applicable, and determine whether we are an appropriate fit for your pet's needs.
Completion of a meet & greet does not guarantee acceptance of a booking.
Clients must provide complete and accurate information regarding their pet's health, medical conditions, medications, allergies, dietary restrictions, and special care needs.
Pets must be in suitable health for the service being provided unless a medical condition has been disclosed and we have agreed that the pet's needs can be safely accommodated.
Any signs of contagious illness must be disclosed before service begins.
Pets receiving boarding services must be current on vaccinations appropriate for their age and species as required by Pawtastic Pet Sitting LLC.
Pets must arrive free of fleas and other contagious parasites and should be maintained on appropriate flea, tick, and parasite prevention.
If fleas, contagious parasites, or signs of contagious illness are discovered during care, the pet may be separated from other animals and the client or emergency contact may be required to arrange pickup.
The client is responsible for reasonable veterinary, treatment, cleaning, or pest-remediation expenses resulting from a condition brought into our home by their pet.
Clients must disclose any known history of aggression, biting, reactivity, resource guarding, escape attempts, destructive behavior, separation anxiety, handling sensitivity, or other behavioral concerns that may affect safe care.
Disclosure of a behavioral concern does not automatically disqualify a pet from receiving services. It allows us to determine whether appropriate accommodations can be made.
Failure to disclose relevant behavioral information may result in modification or immediate termination of services.
Boarding is provided in a home environment rather than a commercial kennel facility.
Pets may be separated for feeding, sleeping, rest periods, introductions, or whenever separation is considered appropriate for safety or comfort.
Crates, gates, separate areas, leashes, and other reasonable pet-management methods may be used when appropriate.
Owners must provide sufficient food, medication, and care instructions for the duration of the reservation unless another arrangement has been made.
Personal belongings such as beds, blankets, toys, bowls, and other comfort items are welcome, but we cannot guarantee that personal items will not become damaged or soiled during normal pet activity.
Pickup and drop-off times should be arranged in advance. Significant delays or extensions may result in additional charges and are subject to availability.
For dog walking, drop-in visits, extended care, and other services performed in the client's home, the client authorizes Pawtastic Pet Sitting LLC to enter the residence for the purpose of providing the scheduled service.
Clients are responsible for providing reliable access through an agreed key, lockbox, electronic entry system, or other access method.
Alarm systems, access codes, cameras, entry instructions, and any other information necessary to safely enter and leave the property must be disclosed before services begin.
If we cannot access the residence because of an incorrect key or code, malfunctioning lock, activated alarm, or another access issue outside our control, the scheduled service may still be charged.
All animals present in the home must be disclosed before in-home services begin. Any animal requiring feeding, walking, medication, handling, cleanup, supervision, or other care must be included in the booking.
Clients should also inform us if family members, roommates, housekeepers, contractors, other pet care providers, or other individuals will have access to the home while services are being provided.
Pawtastic Pet Sitting LLC is not responsible for the acts or omissions of other individuals who have access to the home or pet during the service period.
We reserve the right to discontinue or decline a visit if another person's presence or activity creates an unsafe or unreasonable environment in which to provide care.
We will make reasonable efforts to follow the feeding, medication, exercise, and care instructions provided by the client.
Medications should be clearly labeled and accompanied by accurate administration instructions.
We do not diagnose medical conditions or independently alter prescribed medication instructions.
If a pet refuses food, medication, handling, or another aspect of care, we will use reasonable efforts but will not force an animal when doing so could reasonably cause injury or excessive distress.
Clients must provide current veterinarian information and an emergency contact who can make decisions regarding their pet if the client cannot be reached.
If a pet becomes ill, injured, or appears to require medical attention, we will make reasonable efforts to contact the client and/or designated emergency contact before seeking veterinary care.
If neither can be reached and veterinary treatment is reasonably necessary, the client authorizes Pawtastic Pet Sitting LLC to obtain veterinary examination, treatment, hospitalization, medication, transportation, or emergency care on the client's behalf, subject to the veterinary authorization provided in the client's Care & Liability Agreement.
The client remains responsible for veterinary treatment, transportation, medications, and other related expenses incurred on behalf of their pet.
When reasonably practical, we will use the client's designated veterinarian. In an emergency, we may use the nearest or otherwise appropriate available veterinary facility.
Clients may be required to provide a local emergency contact who is reasonably available and able to assist with the pet if the client cannot be reached.
If a pet becomes seriously ill, displays unsafe behavior, experiences severe distress, or develops care needs that we cannot safely accommodate, we may require the client or emergency contact to retrieve the pet or arrange alternate care.
The client remains responsible for costs associated with veterinary treatment, transportation, alternate care, or early pickup unless otherwise required by law.
Pawtastic Pet Sitting LLC may use crates, gates, leashes, separate play areas, separate rooms, or other appropriate management methods whenever reasonably necessary for the safety or comfort of pets and people.
Group interaction is never guaranteed.
If a pet exhibits aggression, excessive stress, illness, unsafe behavior, or another condition that could place the pet, another animal, or a person at risk, we may separate the pet, modify activities, discontinue interactions, or require early pickup.
Weather conditions may require changes to scheduled activities. During extreme heat, cold, storms, poor air quality, or other unsafe conditions, walks may be shortened or modified to an appropriate potty break and indoor care when possible.
Severe weather or hazardous road conditions may also delay scheduled arrival times.
If Pawtastic Pet Sitting LLC determines that a scheduled service cannot be safely performed due to severe weather or hazardous road conditions, the affected service will be cancelled and a full refund will be issued to the original form of payment.
The safety of pets and caregivers will take priority when weather conditions make the originally scheduled activity unsafe.
Clients are responsible for providing a reasonably safe environment for services performed in their home.
Known hazards, defective locks, unsafe fencing, aggressive animals, construction, or other conditions that could affect the safety of a caregiver must be disclosed before service.
Pawtastic Pet Sitting LLC is not responsible for pre-existing property damage, ordinary wear, pet-caused damage, equipment or appliance failures, plumbing problems, weather-related damage, or other losses not caused by our negligence.
Pawtastic Pet Sitting LLC takes reasonable precautions to prevent pets from escaping. Clients must disclose any known history of escaping, door-dashing, slipping collars or harnesses, jumping fences, or similar behavior and must provide properly fitting collars, harnesses, and other equipment needed for their pet's care.
If a pet becomes lost or escapes while in our care, we will take immediate reasonable steps to safely locate and recover the pet and will notify the client or emergency contact as soon as possible.
While every reasonable effort will be made to safely recover a lost pet, recovery cannot be guaranteed.
Clients remain responsible for injuries, damages, losses, veterinary expenses, or other costs caused by their pet, including damage to property or injury to people or other animals, except to the extent caused by the gross negligence or willful misconduct of Pawtastic Pet Sitting LLC.
Photographs and videos may be taken during services for client updates.
Pawtastic Pet Sitting LLC may also use photographs or videos of pets on our website, social media accounts, or other business and marketing materials unless the client has opted out of marketing use.
Clients may opt out at any time by notifying us.
Opting out of marketing use does not prevent photographs or videos from being taken when reasonably necessary for client updates, safety documentation, or incident records.
Clients are responsible for keeping their telephone number, email address, emergency contact information, veterinarian information, and other necessary information current.
Clients traveling during a reservation should remain reasonably reachable whenever possible or provide an emergency contact authorized to make decisions on their behalf.
Pawtastic Pet Sitting LLC reserves the right to refuse, modify, suspend, or terminate services when reasonably necessary because of unsafe conditions, undisclosed aggression or behavioral concerns, contagious illness, parasite infestation, inaccurate information, repeated payment issues, inappropriate conduct, repeated policy violations, or care needs exceeding what we can safely provide.
When practical, we will communicate the reason for discontinuing care and coordinate appropriate pickup or transition arrangements.
Pet care and related activities involve inherent risks that cannot be completely eliminated even when reasonable care is exercised.
Except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct, the client releases and holds harmless Pawtastic Pet Sitting LLC, its owners, employees, independent contractors, and associates providing services on behalf of the business from liability for injury, illness, escape, loss, property damage, or death that may occur despite reasonable care.
Nothing in these Policies & Procedures is intended to waive any right or liability that cannot legally be waived under applicable law.
We reserve the right to modify these Policies & Procedures as our services and business practices change.
The policies applicable to a reservation will be those provided or made available in connection with that reservation.
By booking services and/or signing Pawtastic Pet Sitting LLC's Care & Liability Agreement, you acknowledge that you have been provided access to these Policies & Procedures and agree to their terms.
These Policies & Procedures and the Care & Liability Agreement are intended to be read together. In the event of a conflict, the full Policies & Procedures will control as stated in the Care & Liability Agreement.
