Thanks for trusting us with your pet! This agreement explains what’s involved in their care, including normal risks such as accidents or illness, and confirms that we will take reasonable steps to keep your pet safe and well cared for. For your convenience, a copy is provided below for review. You will be asked to read and sign this waiver during the client intake process before services begin. 

Care & Liability Agreement

Thank you for choosing Pawtastic Pet Sitting LLC.

This Care & Liability Agreement summarizes important terms that apply to our pet care services. By signing this agreement, you acknowledge that you have received, read, and agree to Pawtastic Pet Sitting LLC’s complete Policies, Procedures, Terms and conditions, including our cancellation policy, boarding requirements, health requirements, payment terms, and other business policies.

In the event of a conflict between this agreement and our Policies & Procedures or Terms & Conditions, the applicable terms of those documents will control. 

Care

Pawtastic Pet Sitting LLC will provide attentive, compassionate care and will follow the feeding, medication, exercise, and care instructions you provide to the best of our ability.

You agree to provide complete and accurate information regarding your pet’s health, medications, behavior, routines, and special care needs.

You certify that your pet:

• Is in good health and free from known contagious disease or illness unless otherwise disclosed and approved in advance

• Is current on all required vaccinations and appropriate flea, tick, and other parasite prevention

• Has no undisclosed history of aggression, biting, reactivity, resource guarding, escape attempts, separation anxiety, destructive behavior, or other behavioral concerns that could affect the safety of people or other animals

You agree to promptly notify Pawtastic Pet Sitting LLC of any material changes in your pet's health, medications, behavior, aggression, reactivity, or care needs before any subsequent service. 

Failure to disclose relevant medical or behavioral information may result in termination or modification of services, removal from group activities, or early pickup. You remain responsible for resulting damages, veterinary expenses, or additional costs as provided in our Policies & Procedures.

Veterinary Care & Emergencies

If your pet becomes ill, injured, or appears to require medical attention, Pawtastic Pet Sitting LLC will make reasonable efforts to contact you and/or your designated emergency contact before seeking veterinary care.

You agree to provide current contact information for yourself and an emergency contact who can make decisions regarding your pet if you cannot be reached.

If neither can be reached and veterinary treatment is reasonably necessary, you authorize Pawtastic Pet Sitting LLC to obtain veterinary examination, treatment, hospitalization, medication, transportation, or emergency care on your behalf.

You authorize emergency veterinary treatment up to {{vet_auth_cap}}.

You agree to reimburse Pawtastic Pet Sitting LLC for veterinary care, transportation, medication, and related expenses incurred on behalf of your pet.

The authorization amount is the maximum amount Pawtastic Pet Sitting LLC may approve without additional authorization. It is not a deposit, guarantee of payment, or money held or processed by Houndtrust.

Safety & Pet Management

The safety and well-being of pets and people is our highest priority.

Pawtastic Pet Sitting LLC may use crates, gates, leashes, separate play areas, or other appropriate management methods when necessary for the safety, comfort, or well-being of a pet.

If a pet exhibits illness, aggression, excessive stress, unsafe behavior, or poses a risk to people or other animals, Pawtastic Pet Sitting LLC may separate the pet, modify activities, discontinue group interactions, or require early pickup.

Assumption of Risk & Liability (Waiver)

You understand that pet care services and related activities involve inherent risks that cannot be completely eliminated, even when reasonable care is exercised.

These risks may arise during walks, drop-ins, boarding, house sitting, transportation, pickup or drop-off, outdoor activities, interactions with other animals, and other activities reasonably associated with providing pet care services. 

Except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct, you release and hold harmless Pawtastic Pet Sitting LLC, its owners, employees, independent contractors, and associates providing care or services on behalf of the business from liability for injury, illness, escape, loss, property damage, or death that may occur despite reasonable care.

You remain responsible for injuries, damages, losses, veterinary expenses, or other costs caused by your pet, including property damage or injury to people or other animals, except to the extent caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Photos & Videos

Pawtastic Pet Sitting LLC may take photographs or videos of your pet during services for client updates.

Photos or videos may also be used on our website, social media, and other marketing or promotional materials unless you notify us that you do not want your pet’s photos or videos used for marketing purposes. You may withdraw this consent for future use at any time by notifying us in writing. 

Owner Acknowledgment

By signing this agreement, you acknowledge that:

• You have received, read, and agree to Pawtastic Pet Sitting LLC’s complete Policies, Procedures, Terms and Conditions

• The information you have provided regarding your pet is accurate and complete

• You understand and agree to the terms of this Care & Liability Agreement

• You authorize Pawtastic Pet Sitting LLC to care for your pet in accordance with these terms
